Who are we?

Position

As a Senior Associate in our Technology & Data Team, you will work closely with the partners on complex digital and regulatory matters for growth companies and organizations. Your work will include advising on GDPR compliance, AI governance, cybersecurity, digital regulation, and technology-driven commercial arrangements, while helping clients identify and manage legal, operational, and reputational risks.

You will be actively involved in compliance trajectories, drafting and negotiating technology agreements, supporting clients during cybersecurity incidents, and advising on the implementation of new digital frameworks and tools. You will also play a role in our DPO-as-a-service, assisting clients with day-to-day privacy governance, data protection policies, data subject requests, DPIAs, and interactions with supervisory authorities.

In a fast-moving and entrepreneurial environment, you will contribute to practical and forward-looking legal solutions tailored to the realities of modern businesses.

Who are you?

  • Master’s degree in Law;
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience at a Belgian law firm active in data protection, information security, technology, and AI-related matters;
  • Strong interest in digital innovation, emerging technologies, and the evolving regulatory landscape surrounding AI, data, and cybersecurity;
  • Experience advising businesses and organizations on compliance projects, technology-driven contracts, digital governance, risk assessments, and strategic regulatory questions;
  • Comfortable working on a broad range of matters, including GDPR compliance, AI governance, SaaS and software agreements, cybersecurity incidents, data-sharing arrangements, and digital regulation;
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on and solution-driven approach towards clients and complex legal challenges;
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is considered an asset.
