Ellen Caen is a senior associate within our Technology. Data. team.
Ellen specialises in privacy, data protection and digital regulation. She advises clients on complex GDPR matters and emerging European digital legislation, including the AI Act, NIS2, the Cyber Resilience Act and the Digital Services Act.
Ellen has extensive experience in proceedings before data protection and other supervisory authorities, as well as before courts and tribunals. She also assists companies and organisations in translating complex regulatory requirements into pragmatic and integrated compliance frameworks.
Ellen holds an LLM in Technology Law (High Honours) from UC Berkeley School of Law (2023) and a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property Law from the University Ghent (2019).
Ellen is a regular speaker and author on privacy, data protection and digital regulation and is recognised as a Key Lawyer for Data Privacy and Data Protection by The Legal 500 (2026).
Ellen joined the Bar in 2020.
